Taking A Break From The Blog

Hey friends!

I’ve had something creeping up on me lately.

Just gently tapping me on the shoulder here and there.

Sort of just like this little cutie pie in the picture.

And I know I can’t risk to ignore it for too long.

Because it might start to get scared and run away.

It came to me a couple weeks ago, out of the blue, after listening to my daughter talk about her day at school.

Her thoughts.

Her feelings.

Her emotions.

And all of a sudden, while driving back home, this wonderful idea just buzzed into my head.

When I got home, I immediately wrote it all down.

And it’s been floating around and alerting me of its presence ever since.

It’s an idea for a children’s book.

And I really want to write it.

And I want my husband to illustrate it.

And I would love for people to read it someday.

But more importantly, I want to be able to read it to my kids.

Because it’s a message that I know is important for them to hear.

I told them both about my idea.

At the time it didn’t really seem like either of them were listening.

But this morning my daughter referenced it and it was a beautiful moment.

So I’m taking it as a sign to dig in.

To stop waiting.

And to just start.

And just like my blog, I feel like if I announce it here, then maybe I will actually commit to doing it.

And who knows, maybe the next time we talk I can tell you that I wrote a book.

Because how cool would that be!?

So I’m signing off for now.

Thank you all for reading.

For your depth.

For your kind words.

And for your support.

See you soon.

And if there’s anything that’s been important to you that has been sitting on the back burner for a little too long.

Don’t be afraid to spark that fire.

Even if you really don’t know what you’re doing.

Just light it up.

Even a little tiny bit.

And get things started.
